Happy New Year! We were on a bit of a hiatus due to the holidays and hope your holidays were cheerful and bright as ours were. We ended 2013 with the release of our 30 Track Audiobook of The Friendly Horror, which is now available ONLY FOR $7. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.
We are starting 2014 with news of a few of the planned releases for Myth Ink Books. As the year unfolds we shall be announcing other projects.
In partnership with author and NYC Boroughs of the Dead Tour Guru Andrea Janes, a new collection of urban horror: Boroughs of the Dead Volume 2: An Anthology of New York City Ghost Stories.
We have received many contributions from award winning, best selling authors. Just to name a few Legendary author John Peel, Actress & award winning, bestselling author of Gothic Victorian Fantasy novels Leanna Renee Hieber and the leading Lovecraftian author of our day, the prose-poet of the horror fantasy field, Wilum Hopfrog Pugmire
We are seeking to continue examining the Doctor Who Universe celebrating not only the classic series and the 50th Anniversary but the era of the 11th Doctor, portrayed by Matt Smith. We would like to stress that this volume will be geared for a non-academic audience. That was the core spirit of the Mythological Dimensions, and shall be for Ambassadors of Geekdom. We want to emphasize this in future volumes in the series: well-written, well-sourced, approachable essays by fans for fans.
The Ambassadors of Geekdom will be a series that examines the question: How do you celebrate your fandom? This volume will ask how do you celebrate your fandom of Doctor Who?
The Forgotten Summer:
A Lovecraftian novella that takes place during the Summer of Sam 1977 on Staten Island.
A bullied young boy learns of his ancestry and happens upon an ancient artifact that has infernal consequences.
Cornelius Kolff and the Kalevala: (tentatively titled)
Local Staten Island author of human interest stories and fairy tales grew up with a love for the folklore of Finland and its own mythology the Kalevala. This volume will be part biography, part publication of Kolff’s manuscripts regarding the Kalevala, Finland and human interest stories.
These are but a few of the projects we have planned for 2014, we thank you all for the big welcome you gave us in 2013 when Myth Ink Books first launched, and look forward to all that 2014 has to offer!
