We are happy to announce that on Saturday December 6th 2014, we will be guests at New York WinterCon.

We will be presenting a program entitled “Myth Ink Books Presents: Urban Horror Tales from The City that Never Sleeps.” We will be joined by Award Winning Author & Actress Leanna Renee Hieber who will be reading her story, “Roebling’s Monster,” from Dark Tales from Elder Regions: New York.

New York City has long been named “The City That Never Sleeps.” This program shall discuss the forthcoming book of urban horror stories, Dark Tales from Elder Regions: New York, and why we should all be afraid of what lurks in the dark corners of all five New York City boroughs.

This is the first public launch of our highly anticipated anthology of urban horror stories from around the five boroughs of New York City and shall highlight the stories to be published and will be accompanied by a slideshow of  illustrations to be featured in the anthology.  Our in house illustrator, Luke Spooner has illustrated all 19 stories, and the cover, from the collection and we are very happy to feature his work to a New York audience.

Ms. Hieber who will be reading her story, “Roebling’s Monster,” from Dark Tales from Elder Regions: New York.

“Roebling’s Monster is a magnificent piece of prose poetry, of fantastic, almost theistic monologue, and sets the stage for every story that comes after it. In one incredible work we are transported away from the mundane New York City and into a dark phantasmagorical version where anything is possible, but there is always a price.”

—From the Introduction by Peter Rawlik  (Author of ReAnimators & The Weird Company)

Anthony, Jessica & Leanna will be signing copies of their work, which will be for sale following the discussion and reading.

Anthony and Jessica, the proprietors at Myth Ink Books, consider themselves, first and foremost, writers of weird and eclectic tales, especially those in what would be called a Lovecraftian vein. In 2013 their first collection of horror short stories, The Friendly Horror and Other Weird Tales, was published, featuring the title story, “The Friendly Horror” a contemporary follow up to H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Shadows Over Innsmouth.” In late 2014 the first in an annual anthology of urban horror Dark Tales from Elder Regions was announced, and monthly horror chapbooks from writers within the horror field to be published beginning in November.
